Sejong University's Office of Educational Innovation and the AX Innovation Institute jointly developed the 2026 AI Usage Guidelines, which the faculty and students should both follow in line with the development of generative AI developments. What are the academic integrity and unique human values that universities should keep amid the rapid proliferation of generative AI? We met and discussed them in detail with Professor Oh-young Song, who is the Director of the AX Innovation Institute. Professor Song led the planning and writing of these guidelines.

The KOSPI index passed the 8,000 point mark for the first time in history, so the capital market is attracting a lot of attention. The enthusiasm of college students about investing in the real economy and the stock market is also rising amidst the continuation of the bull market. We met members of the central investment club from the university, which is called the Sejong Investment Scholars club, and we listened to their advice about personal financing for college students.

The Student Success Exam Support Center of Sejong University helps students preparing for a variety of exams, which include civil service exams and professional certifications, by focusing on their studies. The existing system for supporting the exam preparation class, which was separately operated, was integrated after the establishment of the center, and this led to changes in the way students are supported. We heard that the key support services and future direction of the Student Success Exam Support Center serves as a solid base camp for the students.

The Economics Alumni Association Semadi aims to be an open community where undergraduates and alumni participate in conjunction, which is beyond a gathering of graduates. It is also creating venues where students can directly participate and interact as well as continuing activities that are essential to undergraduates, such as providing general education books for freshmen and supporting academic conferences and MT. We met with Semadi’s president Ki jung Bok, who is an alumni from the Department of Trade class of 1992, and Hyun jae Lee, who is the deputy president and alumni from the Department of Economics and Trade class of 1995, in order to hear about Semadi’s direction and the type of community that it seeks to build.

There are no language barriers when it comes to running. The Running and Korean class is a unique liberal arts course where international students learn Korean culture in person through running. We met Professor Min-cheol Shin from the Department of Physical Education. He leads the class by breaking down nationality and culture barriers through outdoor activities outside the classroom, and we listened to his stories in detail.

The first place you notice when you turn right after entering the main gate is the Student Union Cafeteria, which creates the campus’s first impression with a delicious food aroma. This cafeteria has maintained its reputation since the introduction of the food court system in 2010 as being the nation’s best that is built around its undisputed steady seller, which is yukhoe bibimbap (raw beef bibimbap), and it is now the pride of Sejong University. We met General Manager Jong-hyuk Lee and Chef Eun-sook Shin, who have served for 16 years, and we heard about the weight of a single dish and the passionate sincerity that is contained within it.

It is no exaggeration to say that we are in the OTT era where OTT content overflows in the market right now. We asked Professor Ga-in Park from the Department of Media Communication about the impact of OTT, which is gaining an explosive amount of popularity, on our lives and the broadcasting industry.

Food poisoning, which comes with the sweltering summer heat, is the biggest unwelcome guest that threatens the health of students who live off-campus or in dormitories on campuses. The end of the semester is a time when immunities weaken as the strain with exam preparations and the heat combine, so thorough food hygiene management in daily life is required. We examine the causes and prevention methods of summer food poisoning with Professor Seung-seok Yoo from the School of Hotel, Tourism, and Food Service Management. He gives lectures to students about safe food and proper food management methods. We listened to a vivid guide from an expert for a safe campus life from the proper use of refrigerators to practical hygiene tips.

The movie The King’s Warden surpassed 16 million viewers, so interest in King Danjong has become hotter than ever. The relationship with King Sejong, who cherished King Danjong, is in particular drawing a lot of attention, which leads to continued interest in the historical portrayal of King Danjong. We asked Professor Ji-eun Lee from the Department of History about the leadership that is implied by the story of King Danjong and the true value of historiography.

The Reserve Officers' Training Corps, which will hereinafter be referred to as the ROTC, is a program that fosters future officers through 2 years of military education. Seo-jin Yoon from the Department of Law and entered Sejong University in 2023 is a battalion commander cadet at Sejong University's ROTC. He is preparing for the path of an army officer by balancing his studies, training, and autonomous duties. We met him to hear about his life in the ROTC, his role as a battalion commander cadet, and his future goals.
